Short version: Mellow Collective only asks for what it needs to send the newsletter and keep the site working.
When you subscribe, your email address is stored in the newsletter system at read.mellowcollective.xyz. Subscription uses double opt-in, and every email includes an unsubscribe link.
Analytics
The public site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for basic traffic and page performance. THE WORTHWHILE also keeps daily aggregate counts for page views, searches, and outbound action clicks. Those aggregate counters do not store an email address or per-person event history.
Second Moves
When you submit a Second Move, your display name and note may appear publicly. We use your email to send a verification link and store a one-way hash for verification and abuse prevention. Your email is not displayed with your note. Submissions are reviewed before publication.
We also derive one-way abuse-prevention hashes from request information such as the network address and browser identifier. These are used to limit spam and are not displayed publicly.
Commerce links
Some THE WORTHWHILE entries and Mellow Collective newsletters may include clearly identified affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, Mellow Collective earns from qualifying purchases. If a purchase through another affiliate link can earn Mellow Collective a commission, the recommendation includes a disclosure near the action link. Affiliate status does not change the price you pay.
Giveaways
When a newsletter signup is also an entry in a giveaway, we use the submitted email address to administer the drawing and, after confirmation, send the newsletter. Giveaway rules state the eligibility period, prize, drawing process, and any additional information needed from a winner. Unsubscribing does not cancel an otherwise eligible entry.

Newsletter signup, confirmation, unsubscribe, preferences, and archive pages are handled by Listmonk at read.mellowcollective.xyz.
Maps and outside links
Place recommendations may link to Apple Maps and official venue websites. Opening an outside link is governed by that service’s privacy policy.
